CBI probe into death of Pastor Roache

KOCHI: The Kerala High Court yesterday ordered a probe by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CB) into the death of Joseph Roache, a pastor at the Pentecost Mission Faith Home in Pathanamthitta.Justice V. Ramkumar passed the order while allowing a writ petition filed by M. Carmeli, sister of the pastor. According to her, the pastor was found dead in the faith home around 8.30 p.m. on March 5, 2005.She was informed that he died of cardiac arrest. She said it was not a case of natural death. The Crime Branch came to the conclusion that it was a natural death, due to heart attack. Ordering the CBI probe, the court said there were several missing links in the conclusion reached by the police.
